May 12th 2024 – One month to go!
The first Sunderland city 10km was held in 2011 with just over 1500 taking part. 12 years later the Sunderland City Runs will welcome 5000 participants to the city streets in a celebration of running across a range of distances. You can choose the 10K, the stunning Half-Marathon, or the Big 3K. There is something for everyone.
Come and join in one of the norths largest running events that races through the city and along the sea front, with two of its famous bridges providing a stunning backdrop to all 3 distances. No matter if you’re a first-timer or an experienced runner, the course and atmosphere are conducive to fast times as well as a lot of fun. See you on the start line!
With spectacular coastal views and a brilliant atmosphere, although we cannot guarantee the weather, we can guarantee a superbly organised event with plenty of support on the route and an army of enthusiastic volunteers to make it a great day for all taking part. All participants will receive a t-shirt, medal and goody bag. There is ample city centre parking, baggage services and plenty of fun activities for those not taking part.
