We had a busy end to our 2025, with the inaugural HogmanHoway 5K in Newcastle City Centre before ringing in the new year. As we look forward to the new year ahead, our 2026 calendar of events is looking to be our best yet!

Spring into action
SG Petch Sunderland City Runs – 16/17 May 2026
A highlight of the early season, Sunderland’s multi-distance festival of running returns. From a 5K for new runners, to the 10K and Half Marathon for those chasing PBs, it’s a weekend built for all ages and abilities.
Summer challenges in Northumberland & Durham
The Northumbrian – 27/28 June 2026
Test your limits at the ultimate endurance event in the beautiful Kielder Forest region. Choose from the Triathlon or Ultra Trail distances as you take in stunning Northumbrian scenery and challenge yourself among like-minded athletes.
Durham City Run Festival – 16 July 2026
The historic city of Durham becomes the backdrop of this midsummer evening’s events, as runners take to the cobbled streets in the 5K and 10K races. It may be steep, but that finish line is unforgettable!
August adventures in Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough Runs – 30 August 2026
New to the 2026 lineup: the Middlesbrough 10K and Ali Brownlee 5K (formerly the beloved Tees Pride 10K) are bringing fresh energy to the series and celebrating running in more communities across the North.
Round off the autumn in Worcester
Sutcliffe & Co Worcester City Run – 13 September 2026
For a truly spectacular big city centre event, try Worcester City Half Marathon, 10K or Junior runs in September. The crowds and route take over the city, showcasing the very best of Worcester and promising a run you won’t forget.
